Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month in May
       
The U.S. Census Bureau released statistical information today in preparation for                       Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month in May. (more)

Asian American respondents
  • are much more likely than other groups to cite pressures related to school as their biggest source of stress.
  • are also tied with Whites in having the largest percentage who responded that most of their friends are of a different race/ethnicity
  • are also the least likely to judge their mental health status as “very healthy" (more)
Whole Church  Urged to Respond to Philippines Killing
With much input and direction by Dennis Duheylongsod and Gloria Joyce Ganibi, General Synod 26 urged the whole UCC — individuals, congregations, conferences and the national setting — to help end the mounting violence in the Philippines in which nearly 850 human rights workers have been murdered.  (more)
